While the CDC is beginning to relax its standards for the wearing of masks in certain situations for vaccinated people, this does not apply to healthcare facilities.
Healthcare facilities by their very nature involve people who are at higher risk of infection and who may have compromised immune systems.
Therefore Nevada Regional Medical Center continues to require its patients, visitors and employees to wear masks while in their facilities.
Because an increasing number of people in our community are being vaccinated, we truly hope to be out of our masks in all situations soon. However in the meantime, we continue to exercise care and caution on behalf of everyone in our community by following the guidelines that healthcare providers must follow.
We truly appreciate and value the support and cooperation we have received from our patients, visitors and the community-at-large!
