Jennifer Eaton joins Mike Harbit to give an overview of the services available in the Diagnostic Imaging department.  Whether you need care out of town, you can still shorten the amount of trips and time away from home by having your diagnostic testing done right here in Nevada.

Jason McCormick joins Jennifer Eaton and Mike Harbit to provide another update on the current status of NRMC and the focus for access to care, continued growth and success for the coming year.

Foundation Director Jennifer Eaton joins Mike Harbit kick off the annual Tree of Shining Memories program.  Brighten this holiday season by purchasing a light or lights in honor or memory of loved ones.  Names will be displayed in the main lobby of the hospital throughout the month of December and read in a naming ceremony just prior to the annual Christmas parade on Friday, December 6th.  Forms are located in the mail lobby, call 417-448-3710 to purchase or complete online at www.nrmchealth.com/Foundation/TreeofShiningMemories. 

Dr. Ralph Hall joins Jennifer Eaton & Mike Harbit to take a look at the Wound Care Clinic.  Dr. Hall discusses the common types of wounds that they treat in the outpatient clinic as well as offering tips for prevention of wounds, specifically to the feet.  Appointments can be made by calling 417-448-2121.

Quality Director Tim Wilson joins Jennifer Eaton and Mike Harbit to celebrate Healthcare Quality Week.  He discusses the function of their department and the staff that perform the roles to ensure that NRMC provides safe, efficient, patient-centered, equitable and timely care to our community.

Jason McCormick joins Jennifer Eaton and Mike Harbit to give an NRMC update.  The focus is on increasing patient volumes, removing barriers to care, and reducing the cost of professional care & diagnostic testing.  He also highlights several new physicians and upcoming services for patients.

Jennifer Eaton and Jessica Collier, Human Resources Director, join Jae Miller to talk about our growing team and recruitment for several key positions.  Learn more about some of the benefit offerings while employed at NRMC.  There will also be an on-site nurse hiring event coming up on October 9th, from 10 am – 2 pm in the Mezzanine Conference Room.

Community Relations Director Jennifer Eaton joins Mike Harbit to announce the addition of Dr. Andrew Wyant to the NRMC compliment of physicians.  Dr. Wyant specializes in Family Practice with over 20 years’ experience.  His office will be located at Nevada Medical Clinic starting October 2nd.  Appointments can be made by calling 417-667-6015.

Foundation Director Jennifer Eaton joins Mike Harbit to discuss the Designer Purse Bingo fundraiser.  Guests have the opportunity to win designer purses as well as silent auction, mystery bags, door prizes and more!  This is a very popular event and one that sells out quickly.

Jason McCormick, Chief Restructuring Officer, provides another update on financial performance, recruitment & retention of staff, business office improvements & resolving patient barriers and access to care.  He highlights some of the new physician additions to NRMC and potential expansion of infusion services for patients.

Community Relations Director Jennifer Eaton introduces Jeffrey Wesselman.  Mr. Wesselman has over 22 years’ experience in healthcare financials and recently started his position as NRMC’s Chief Financial Officer.  He discusses his background and experience in the role.

NRMC is pleased to announce that Dr. Larry Seals will be returning to provide gynecological services starting Tuesday, July 30th.  Clinic will be held each Tuesday & Wednesday every other week in the Professional Practice Clinic.  Appointments can be made by calling 417-448-2121.

Jennifer Eaton joins Mike Harbit to discuss the role of volunteers & the impact they have on the care & services at NRMC.  Discussion highlights the opportunities available for those who may be interested in volunteering. 

Community Relations Director Jennifer Eaton joins Mike Harbit to review the FY24 Community Benefit report.  It highlights the services and local economic impact NRMC has to our community and those we serve.

Jason McCormick, Chief Restructuring Officer, joins Jennifer Eaton & Mike Harbit back in the studio for another update on the turnaround progress and forbearance agreement recently approved by the Board of Directors.  He explains the current work being done, patient statements and how the community can continue to support the efforts to maintain healthcare in our community. 

Marci Hardin, IT Director, joins Jennifer Eaton and Mike Harbit to share some of the new features with the MyCare Corner patient portal and mobile app.  Learn how you can easily access your health record virtually anywhere – when and where you need it!

Sheryl Shepherd, RN joins Jennifer Eaton and Mike Harbit to discuss a new patient focused program called Patient Centered Medical Home.  This program focuses on the patient as a whole person, assisting them in designing goals and care plans to improve overall health.  It allows their care team to more fully partner to meet each patients’ unique needs, cultures, values and preferences.

NRMC Foundation Director Jennifer Eaton joins Mike Harbit to discuss the upcoming 21st Annual Caring with Pride Golf Classic.  The event, returning to a shotgun start this year, has been a longstanding favorite with local golfers and will take place on Friday, May 10th.

Community Relations Director Jennifer Eaton introduces Dr. Brian Ellefsen.  Dr. Ellefsen specializes in Orthopedics & Sports Medicine & has over 25 years’ experience.  He will be joining NRMC on April 1st to provide Orthopedic services every Monday & Tuesday.  His office will be located on the 1st floor, South Tower at NRMC. 

Community Relations Director Jennifer Eaton introduces Jason McCormick.  Mr. McCormick has over 28 years’ experience in rural healthcare and has been engaged to assist NRMC as a Chief Restructuring Officer.  He discusses his background and experience with assisting facilities and shares some initial thoughts and steps taken thus far.

Jennifer Eaton joins Mike Harbit to bring awareness to Colon Cancer Awareness Month and discuss the importance of regular screening and colonoscopies.  Every March, the NRMC Foundation sponsors FREE home testing kits for colon cancer.  

They will be available starting Monday, March 4th, from 8 am to 4 pm each weekday in the Main Lobby throughout the month while supplies last. 

Dr. John Fox continues the American Heart Month focus discussing cholesterol, what it is, how to know your levels, and ways to make changes through diet & exercise.  The community can take advantage of a FREE cholesterol screening on Wed, Feb 21st sponsored by the NRMC Foundation to learn their numbers.

Dr. Brandon Sohm joins Jennifer Eaton and Mike Harbit to discuss Heart Health.  To kick off American Heart Month, recognized yearly each February, Dr. Sohm discusses the importance of knowing your risk factors and steps you can take to a healthier heart.

Hannah Cramer, Performance Therapy Services Coordinator, joins Jennifer Eaton & Mike Harbit to discuss Therapy services and the upcoming location change.  Services are offered in the areas of Physical & Occupational Therapy and will transition to the main hospital campus on February 5th in order to better serve both their inpatient and outpatient guests more efficiently.

Community Relation’s Director Jennifer Eaton sits down with Mike Harbit for the first report of the new year to give a 2023 year in review.  They discuss the new services and providers that have joined NRMC over the last year.

Community Relations Director Jennifer Eaton introduces Dr. Ralph Hall.  Dr. Hall has been a practicing General Surgeon in Southeast Kansas for 30 years and recently joined NRMC to continue those services in partnership with Dr. Dodd.  His office will be located in the 2nd floor Professional Practice Clinic at NRMC.
