About Ashley Rodgers:

Ashley graduated with a Master's Degree of Physical Therapy from Southwest Baptist University in 2000. Ashley has worked at NRMC since 2001 and has served as the Rehabilitation Director since 2006. 

She has worked in acute care, outpatient, behavioral health, home health, pediatrics and long-term care. She prefers to work on the foot and ankle complex, but enjoys working in multiple therapy settings.

Ashley's parents are from El Dorado Springs, Missouri. Ashley currently lives in El Dorado Springs with her husband Adam and three girls. In her spare time, she likes to go to the lake, cook, and travel with her family. She has served on the El Dorado Christian Daycare Board for 5 years and volunteers for several local outreach projects through Community Church. 

Cheryl Barker

About Cheryl Barker:

Cheryl graduated with a Master's Degree of Science in Physical Therapy from Kansas University Medical Center in 1998. She has 22 years experience in inpatient acute rehab, long-term care, outpatient, inpatient, as well as lymphedema treatment.

Cheryl lives in Fort Scott, Kansas with her husband, Mitch Barker (who also works for NRMC in Information Technology), and daughter, Lauren. She is a sports fan and particularly enjoys watching KU and Fort Scott Community College basketball, Royals, and Chiefs.

She also enjoys travelling, wine, gardening, reading, playing the piano and spending time with her family. Cheryl attends Fort Scot Nazarene church where she leads the Club 56 ministry for 5th/6th graders. 

Heidi Cottrill

About Heidi Cottrill:

Heidi graduated in 2012 from Brown Mackie College with her degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). After graduation Heidi began a new job in Appleton City, working with geriatric patients.

She began working at NRMC Performance Therapy in 2015. She says since her start with NRMC she has gained knowledge and experience about working with children, and has loved every second of it.

Though Heidi thoroughly enjoys working with young patients, she helps not only children, but a wide variety of patients from post-operative to stroke recovery, etc.

Heidi is a wife and mother to four children.

Annie Thorpe

About Kaylee Peery:

Kaylee graduated from Missouri Valley College in 2012 with Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and Exercise Science. She then went on to pursue her Masters Degree through Emporia State University. She graduated in December of 2016 with a Masters of Science in Health, Physical Education, & Recreation.

Kaylee has been employed through NRMC since August of 2015, contracted to cover 7-12 grade Athletics for the Nevada R5 School District, and from 2015-2019 was contracted to cover Cottey College Athletics.


She provides many things to the student athletes of Nevada ranging from wound care, preventative taping, and injury prevention to injury diagnosis referrals, injury rehabilitation, and post op rehabilitation on site at the high school when necessary. She is at every home sporting event, and travels to all away varsity football games.

Kaylee loves working with the student-athletes of Nevada R5 and is so grateful that she has been able to call NRMC and NHS home for the last 5 years.

Melenna Tabakian

About Melenna Tabakian:

Melenna graduated from Carl Albert State College in Poteau Oklahoma and has been with NRMC since 2019. She is also a certified Parkinson's Wellness Recovery therapist.

When asked about what she enjoys most about her job, she says, "I love being a physical therapist assistant because I get to have a positive impact on my patient's life."

In her free time, Melenna enjoys kayaking and hiking with her husband and seven kids! Her family moved from Denver, CO to Lamar in 2018, for her husband to pastor a church in Lamar. She says, "Between our large family and our church family we stay really busy."

Occupational Therapist

About Annie Thorpe:

Annie and her husband Craig were both born and raised in Nevada and are now raising two boys here.

After graduating high school from Nevada, she pursued her goal of becoming an occupational therapist and graduated with her Master's Degree in 2005 from Kansas University.


She has been an occupational therapist ever since and has been employed at NRMC since 2007.

Currently, Annie works in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has experience helping a wide variety of populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, mental health, and orthopedics.

Jenny Tucker

About Jenny Tucker:

Jenny Tucker graduated from Rockhurst College in 1993 with a Bachelor's Degree in physical therapy. Shortly thereafter she became employed at NRMC and she says, "never looked back", working in the NRMC physical therapy department either full time, part time or PRN. 

 Jenny primarily works in the outpatient setting seeing patients ranging from infants to senior adults. She also works with students in the Nevada school district, an opportunity she says she thoroughly enjoys.

"I am a people person and love to interact and get to know my patients, students and their families. Our therapists here are top notch and feel privileged that we can offer such a wide variety of services."

Jenny lives in Lamar, Missouri with her husband of 26 years. They have 3 sons and have recently added two daughter-in-laws to their family. Jenny and her family are very involved at their church and she also enjoys playing the keyboard on the praise team. Her hobbies include any activity her kids are involved in, family vacations, reading, and eating lots of pizza. In fact, her family opened a pizzeria in Lamar in 2020 called Mother Tucker’s. If Jenny isn't working at NRMC, or at a sporting event, you may find her there!

Andrea Wydick

Speech Language Pathologist

About Andrea Wydick:

Andrea was raised in southeast Vernon County and graduated from Nevada High School. "Once a Tiger always a Tiger," she says. "I can't imagine living anywhere else!"

She earned a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders in 2012 from Western Kentucky University as well as a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Missouri State University.

Andrea began working with NRMC in May of 2015. She says, "I have a passion for helping people and working for NRMC allows me to serve the community I love so much."  She provides speech therapy to all ages and has experience working in schools, nursing home/rehab, and home health settings. Currently she provides inpatient and outpatient services for NRMC.

Andrea and her husband Daniel have four children - 3 girls and 1 boy. In her spare time you can find her watching or volunteering with her children’s activities, especially in 4-H. She also enjoys camping, hiking, and enjoying time at the lake with her family.
