Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Clinic
Nevada Regional Medical Center offers a dedicated Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Clinic to help heal chronic wounds as well as hyperbaric oxygen therapy for non-healing wounds.
The Wound Healing Center offers services to help heal wounds such as diabetic ulcers, lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers (bed sores), bone infections, gangrene, skin tears or lacerations, radiation burns, and post-operation wounds and infections. If wounds are not treated in a timely and effective manner, they can become infected. The Wound Healing Clinic is an outpatient program. Patients heal their wounds through weekly visits with the center’s doctors and wound specialists.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or HBOT, simply allows the patient to breathe 100 percent oxygen at increased atmospheric pressures, which promotes healing and fights infection. The therapy is an effective and painless way to heal wounds.
