NRMC Awards Poster Contest Winners

Nevada Regional Medical Center (NRMC) announced a new poster contest this year in honor of National Hospital Week, May 12 – 18. The contest was opened to grades K through 3, from any school, with the promise of a prize for the top entry in each class and the display of the winning posters on the digital billboard on the hospital campus at 800 S. Ash.

Students were asked to incorporate the 2019 Hospital Week theme, “Celebrating Hope and Healing”. Monday, a team of NRMC employees voted for their favorite posters from dozens of entries.

“We had a tough job choosing our winners,” said Marci Hardin, Information Technology Director at NRMC. “It was so nice to see the children’s perspectives. We really enjoyed seeing the creativity of those young minds and reading the descriptions that accompanied some of the art.”

The winners are: Kody Cearley, Kindergarten; Elizabeth Hyde, first grade; and Blair Otter, second grade. As promised, the winning posters can be seen on the NRMC digital billboard throughout Hospital Week and all of the entries are also displayed in the emergency waiting room windows facing Ash Street.
