NRMC Adjusts Clinic Operations During COVID-19 Pandemic

Nevada Regional Medical Center (NRMC) is making changes to its clinic operations during the COVID-19 pandemic to better serve our patients and protect health care workers. We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all our patients.

Rich Hill Family Medical Clinic will remain closed for now. However, NRMC is providing several alternatives to continue care.

Telehealth clinic appointments are now available. If you have a medical need that does not require a hands-on visit with a provider, you may call (417) 448-3720 to speak with a nurse practitioner. Examples of reasons to have a telehealth visit may include: a screening for a mild illness, psychiatric care, medication refills requiring an appointment, follow-up care for someone who has been seen in the last three months.

For individuals who need to see a provider, we have two Nevada clinics who will see patients based upon whether they need treatment for an acute illness, or if they need to be seen for routine check-ups, well visits, or medication management.

For sick care (fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, ear pain, nausea, vomiting), individuals may use NowCare Clinic. NowCare is located at 345 S. Barrett Street in Nevada, and is open Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Patients may call ahead to schedule an appointment at (417) 448-2439 or drive-up and remain in the car and call.

For well care and medication management, individuals may use Primary Care Center at 627 S. Ash Street in Nevada. Primary Care is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Other reasons to visit Primary Care may include routine check-ups for children or adults, routine diabetic care, obstetrics and follow up, hypertension, urinary tract infection, stomach upset (GERD/Heartburn, Ulcer, IBS, etc.) Patients may call ahead to schedule an appointment at (417) 448-3600 or drive-up and remain in the car and call.

NRMC wishes to remind patients that call volumes are higher than normal, and to please be patient with staff who are answering as quickly and efficiently as possible.
