NRMC Achieves Accreditation for Sleep Study Program

8/8/2017

Nevada, MO, Nevada Regional Medical Center proudly announces its accreditation status approval by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for the NRMC Sleep Study Service.

Achieving accreditation is a process where healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organizations dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.

A physician will refer a patient to participate in a Polysomnography, also called a sleep study.  This test is used to diagnose sleep disorders. Polysomnography records brain waves, the oxygen level in the patient's blood, heart rate and breathing, as well as eye and leg movements during the study.

In addition to helping diagnose sleep disorders, polysomnography may be used to help adjust a treatment plan if the patient has already been diagnosed with a sleep disorder.

NRMC Sleep Study Service is now accepting Medicare and Medicaid patients and commercial insurance.   NRMC also has discount programs for our self-pay customers. For more information, call 417-667-3355 or click here.
